Tom Gates is a Senior Vice President and Client Manager for US Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management’s Richmond Office. Tom has been a Richmond
banker for 30 years and served in a number of corporate, commercial and wealth management functions. Tom is a Certified Financial Planner and an Adjunct Professor
at the University of Richmond teaching finance related courses. Prior to his banking career, Tom served with the 18th Airborne Corps Artillery as a Cannon and Battery
Officer and completed his military career by retiring from the USAR’s 80th Division. Tom lives in Richmond with his wife Annette. They have one son who is a
lawyer serving with the Virginia Circuit Courts.
